At JCI Edmonton, we believe that access to education is one of the most powerful tools for creating positive change — in a person’s life, and in our community.
JCI has partnered with the United Nations since 1954, and our members around the world are committed to advancing the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, including Quality Education (SDG 4) and Reducing Inequalities (SDG 10). Locally, this scholarship is one of the ways we put that commitment into action right here in Edmonton.
The JCI Edmonton Scholarship reflects our four pillars — Individual, Business, Community, and International — by supporting a young person’s individual growth, removing financial barriers to opportunity, and strengthening our community’s future leaders. We know that financial need shouldn’t stand between a motivated student and their education, and we’re proud to help close that gap.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the JCI Edmonton Scholarship, applicants must be pursuing post-secondary studies at an Alberta government–approved:
• Provincial, national, or international university
• Public college
• Technical institute
Selection Criteria
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a significant financial need for this scholarship to continue their education. We know everyone’s story looks a little different, so we ask you to share yours honestly and within reason.
Application Requirements
To apply, please submit the following:
1 Completed application form
2 Essay response (see essay question below)
3 Unofficial Transcript — available through your student portal
Please note: JCI Edmonton reserves the right to request an Official Transcript from any applicant selected as a finalist.
