Your Monthly Update

Hi Everyone,

I hope this finds you well!

We’re finally seeing amazing weather in Edmonton; I hope you take advantage of this by spending a lot of your time outside. We have several events planned for you coming months, and I invite you to join us and bring you friends, the more the merrier! We will be posting these as soon as we have the details finalized, some are linked in this update below.

On April we hosted our New Member Orientation, facilitated by Past President and Senator David Demian, we had the opportunity to learn about the benefits of becoming a JCI member from a personal, professional and community perspective. He also shared his experiences on his trips to JCI conferences and the friendships formed along the way, as a member and past president. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, we had the pleasure of cooking and serving an authentic Mexican family meal at the Ronald McDonald House, led by one of our newer members Paris and his wife Nicole. The families and staff at the house reached out and showed their appreciation for the delicious and sumptuous meal we prepared for them.

On our Made in YEG series we learned from fellow JCI member Kurt Thomas, about his entrepreneurial journey of starting and running his property management business, Stay With Ease Hospitality. During his talk, he offered valuable insights and advice when starting and running your own business. If you catch him at our events, be sure to ask him about his experience.
